Lodge - W3B Conclave Registration Posted Jul. 23, 2015
This years conclave activity program will consist of three (3), hour long workshops (sessions) that will fill up the morning program; the workshop programs will cover a variety of diverse subjects, ranging from Scouting Skills, Order of the Arrow Skills, Life Skills, Shooting Sport Skills, and STEM Skills.

Arrowmen will have the opportunity to select three workshops that interest them; not all workshops will be offered for three sessions. Arrowmen may be charged for certain workshops that require non-renewable resources or offer take home materials.

Lodge - Arrowman Service Award Sash Patch Posted Jul. 7, 2015
Registered members in good standing in the BSA, the local council and their Order of
the Arrow lodge will be able to commemorate our organization's 1OOth anniversary by
working to complete the Arrowman Service Award (ASA). The purpose of the ASA is
to encourage Arrowmen to recommit themselves to the ideals ofthe Order, increase
their level of service to their unit and council and participate in the 100th anniversary
celebration of the OA. The award will have three categories of criteria with various
requirements that Arrowmen can complete. These include components on
personal growth, service to Scouting and participation in the centennial celebration.

Lodge - NOAC 2015 -- 100th Anniversary Posted Jan. 26, 2015
From August 3-8, 2015, Order of the Arrow members from around the country will have the unique opportunity to gather together at Michigan State University and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Order of the Arrow at the National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC). Over 10,000 Arrowmen will come together from around the world to share ideas, learn from one another, and to celebrate the best that the OA has to offer. This six-day adventure is unlike any other event in Scouting.

A typical NOAC day covers all aspects of the OA. In the morning, you can pick your choice of world-class training sessions covering topics from leadership, to Native American crafts, to high adventure skills, and more. The afternoon brings a wide range of sports, competitions, exhibitions, and special events. After dinner, you’ll attend an outstanding evening show. After the show, there are open activities, patch trading, and time to hang out with and meet new friends from across the nation. Finally, after heading to bed to get some sleep you’ll be prepared to do it all again the next day!

A typical NOAC day consists of the following:

- Breakfast
- Morning Training Sessions
- Lunch
- Afternoon Activities and Special Events Dinner
- Evening Show
- Evening Activities and Special Events

The training at each NOAC is world class. Trainers at NOAC are hand selected by conference leadership due to their immense knowledge and expertise in a particular subject. Trainers come from around the world to share their expertise so that you may bring information and new ideas back to your home lodge and grow as an individual. Training session range in topics from leadership, to event planning, to Native American crafts, dancing, and ceremonies just to name a few of the many topics available. No matter what you’re interested in there is a NOAC training session for you!

Each afternoon, conference participants can choose to participate in a wide array of actives and special events. The National Order of the Arrow museum will be on display showcasing unique historical items that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.

What would a gathering of people from all over the country be without a little competition? Attendees have the opportunity to compete in athletic events like dodge ball and ultimate Frisbee. Arrowmen can also participate in OA ceremonies evaluations to improve their performance and learn from the experts. Interested in Native America dance? We have that too! No matter what your talent there is no shortage of opportunity to showcase them at NOAC.

After dinner, all participants and staff gather at the university’s arena for the evening show. These shows are nothing short of amazing and are on par with what you would expect on Broadway or the biggest touring concert of the year! Each evening show is unique ranging from the opening and closing show, to Native American dance, to national awards and recognition. These shows will remain as one of your fondest memories of NOAC.

This conference will be a unique experience in the Order’s history. In addition, Arrowmen attending the 2015 conference will receive a special edition red sash. The rarity of the sash is noteworthy.

NOAC is a great opportunity to learn more about the OA and Scouting (and maybe just a little more about yourself), to get to know other members of your lodge, and make new friends from around the country.

No Day Passes

Unfortunately, due to logistical challenges presented by the significant registration turn-out as well as university requirements, day passes to visit the National Order of the Arrow Conference will not be available. Scouts and Scouters who wish to experience NOAC will have to do so as a registered member of a contingent, staff member or official invited guest. Only those individuals who display the proper credentials will be allowed to participate in program area activities, training, arena Shows and exhibits.

If you cannot attend NOAC as a registered member of contingent or staff member, we recommend participating in other planned programs to commemorate the centennial including ArrowTour and our national service project in the autumn of 2015.

Dates and Location

The 2015 National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) will begin with dinner on Monday, August 3, 2015 and conclude following breakfast on Saturday, August 8, 2015. The conference will be held at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.

Conference Fee

The conference fee includes five night’s housing, 14 meals, program and support materials, registration materials, and recognition items. In addition to the conference fee, Amangi Nacha Lodge contingent members incur the cost of transportation and for other activities that happen on the way to NOAC.

Conference Onsite


Conference participants and staff will eat in the university's dining halls beginning with dinner on the first day of NOAC and concluding with breakfast on the last day of NOAC. Each meal will include main dishes, sides, beverages, and desserts.


Conference participants and staff will stay in the university’s residence halls. All attendees are encouraged to bring a fan with them, as not all residence halls are air-conditioned. Each floor within the residence hall has their own male and female bathroom facilities with showers, sinks, and toilets. Each residence hall will have a NOAC housing staff member assigned to it. Each room includes linens, a pillow, and towels.


NOAC security staff and University Police will be present around the university grounds 24 hours a day to provide a safe environment for participants and staff. Other security personnel will be present at arena shows and other major conference events. While at NOAC, if you need help, check in with a NOAC security staff member or an information booth. For immediate concerns where NOAC security is not available, guests are encouraged to dial 9-1-1 or go to a university staff member.


There will be plenty of walking at NOAC so it is best to be physically fit. Be sure to bring comfortable shoes and drink LOTS of water. Limited shuttle service will be available. Special transportation arrangements will be made for those in need.

Trading Post

Items such as patches, neckerchiefs, hats, t-shirts, mugs, luggage tags, magnets, bolos, and more will be available for purchase from the NOAC Trading Post. Lodge contingent participants and NOAC staff members must utilize the online Trading Post to order merchandise in advance of the 2015 conference. This will help ensure all mementos desired can be obtained and avoid long lines and possible disappointment in attempting to purchase merchandise at NOAC.

Onsite at NOAC 2015, the official Trading Post will be have NOAC memorabilia, Order of the Arrow items, patches, prints, figurines from the National Endowment, and ScoutStuff supplies. Arrowmen are encouraged to pre-order their NOAC memorabilia as some items will sell out before the conference.

What to Pack?

All NOAC participants and staff members are required to wear their full Scout uniform when attending shows, training sessions, and meals. The activity uniform may be worn during recreational events such as afternoon and evening activities. The packing list will be released in the future.

Medical Form

All NOAC participants and staff will be required to have a completed BSA Annual Health and Medical Record (Parts A, B, and C) to attend the conference. No BSA Annual Health and Medical Record examinations will be performed by NOAC medical personnel onsite.

Lodge - 2015 OA Lodge Dues Posted Jan. 27, 2015
Registration Dues for the year 2015 are due and payable as of January 1, 2015. You are reminded that current registration in the Boy Scouts of America is a prerequisite to active membership in the Order of the Arrow. Current registration is required to attend any OA function and to buy OA trading post items.

Questions regarding membership may be directed to the Lodge Financial Adviser, Bob Nelson, (530) 222-0891 or by email. Your 2015 OA membership card will be mailed or given to your Chapter Adviser to get to you.

If you are registering for the first time with our Lodge, use the mail-in registration and provide the Lodge data on your Ordeal, (date/location) Brotherhood, and Vigil (as applicable)
